Luggage Bags and Packs

GR1 with patches up.
-
@chrisjohnnick that’s a hell of a find!! How do you like the bag? I’ve been considering their Wilder
-
@Mizmazzle it's definitely well built, but I'm finding it's not really my style compared to a couple other bags I've got.
-
@chrisjohnnick gotcha. Thanks man. I’ve been wondering how comfortable the wilder is for actual hiking and backcountry use. I do a lot of 6-12 miles hikes to fish high alpine lakes. Wondering if the wilder is going to be comfortable for that type of use…or is it just a cool looking we’ll build bag that isn’t necessarily comfortable for deep hikes.
-
@Mizmazzle Yea, it looked great and fit what I needed in it. I went with something else because I didn't really like the roll top style, and the leather straps weren't comfortable on my shoulders. I decided I needed zippers and padded shoulders.

@chrisjohnnick i broke down and bought the Bradley Mountain Wilder 10th anniversary backpack. Shit is not cheap! But nothing well made is haha.
-
I bought this from a German company (Steinkauz) recently for bushcraft type shorter activities. It combines the functional with waxed cotton and some leather bits and is surprisingly comfortable. For anything where function and light-weight really matters (longer hikes, mountains etc) I would go for something purely functional and light.

I am after a backpack for work which will allow me to carry a fair bit (25 - 30 litres) but also will have a relatively well protected compartment for a laptop. I have scrolled through this section and got a few ideas but wonder if anyone has a particular recommendation for what I am after?

@Crispy-Heron I have one from a company called ebag, pro slim weekender. Really happy with it, using it for work/work related travel. Have it since four years and it doesn’t show any signs of wear.

@Dmart -thanks. They look promising. I will look into them.
-
Nice one @Mizmazzle ; do you fly fish? I have numerous friends who do that out here and may try to learn myself.
-
@mclaincausey yeah man!! It’s my favorite thing in the world!!!

either the car or the line of skiers look out of place, not sure which one exactly.
