IHSB-BIGBUCK-BLK - Black Deerskin Western Shirt - The Big Buck

@louisbosco Congratulations Sir, it looks great on you and since we are the same size it will be amazing to see how this gorgeous shirt/jacket will evolve on you
-
@Oaktavia yes definitely. I can't wait to take this out riding. will update when it arrives. hopefully by next week. have a new camera I would love to test out too.
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot I had the 17mm good art snaps on my pale rider front pockets. sticking with the theme of silver nips.
-
@louisbosco right on man that's awesome. I'm curious what a rainy ride will do to the buck like you mentioned when we were talking about your pale rider. I love how the snaps on your pale rider caused some green verdigris.
-
@Oaktavia hahah that green stuff was rust and definitely isn’t good for the buttons as I’ll have to continuously replace them if they break
I’m not sure I’ll introduce this one to water yet even though some people have washed theirs.
With that said, you never know what happens with the weather and I’m not going to jinx myself with that
-
@louisbosco ah yeah, that makes sense that is isn't good for the buttons. Just looks neat as it comes with the massive evo you have with that amazing shirt. I've been wearing my buck since Sunday, loving it.
-
Forever waiting for the natural version of this to drop to join the big buck party. The back creases on that are likely going to heavily darken

@Oaktavia what a fit!
It's going to be my shirt that I measure as my baseline now. Not that I'll need anything else anytime soon!

@jfk1117 Yes, damn straight. If I can afford it, the natural will be the one for me too.
@Oaktavia Really looking forward to how this will progress.
Thanks, Tobias. I keep thinking about the faded photos of Harakis shirt on here. I really wonder how often he wore it over those nine years. I wonder how long it takes to see some evo.
-
@Oaktavia Yes, it’s always nice to see a faded example. Are you wearing this in rotation, or going ‘madman’ style?
-
@Mister_Brue kind of both actually. Madman style with the buck and the 140IG in rotation.
-
@Oaktavia The BigBuck looks superb on you, Steve! It's great that you brought it back from England and can now show it off in your "natural habitat". Very excited to see how YOU will wear it over time.
-
@Oaktavia Looks absolutely fantastic, congratulations! Am I right in saying you bought this in person, at the party? On reflection and now you are the proud owner of it, do you have any sizing tips/advice/lessons learnt for those who are buying online and just staring at those pesky dimensions / comparing to existing shirts?
Shirt for life! Looking forward to watching the journey -
@louisbosco

Shirt for life! Looking forward to watching the journeyYes, it was one of the most exciting moments I had in Gosport. I could hardly contain myself, haha...The only sizing tips I can think of from the top of my head is that I usually wear a XXL in IH tops, I would say 80% of the time. This was not one of those times, it is a perfectly fitting XL. I was going primarily by chest measurements on the XXL which is why I asked to try that size on first. It felt too big straight away, and I knew XL was the way to go. So what I learned is that I might not know my measurements as well as I once thought, or perhaps I'm shrinking more than I expected I may be (from losing 30 pounds by x-ing double IPAs on the daily). Hope that helps.

@matt_rost Thanks for the kind words, Matt. I love that I was able to wear it from England, to Iceland (layover) and to BWI > WV. It is already a well traveled shirt as it came from Japan and Germany too. I'll post updates here a lot.
