Logged on after a long time away to say that I have this jacket and it's -20c today in Ontario and I'm still warm. Layered a Uniqlo heat tech long sleeve t and a merino cardigan, and I'm a-okay.
This jacket rules!

Logging on here after years away to say that if you're on the fence about this jacket, just buy it.
I love love love my Storm Rider. As in, wear it every day kind of love.
Is it warm? I use it in temps as low at -5c.
Just buy the damn thing. It's perfect.
(and yes, I grew up in the original Lee version. This is better)
Just picked up the blue at SENY today in a large. Sizing is a tiny bit bigger than the western UHFs that I have, and it's a damn good thing, because I've been gaining weight like it's my job.
I'm so happy to see the green UHF in production again this year!
Looks like Dutil in Toronto & Vancouver and Blue Button Shop in Toronto have seen the light and are now carrying 634s.
Yeah, I've been wearing Reigning Champ since the beginning. Top stuff, though not as good (or cheap) as it used to be. And Wings and Horns makes the best fitting t shirts anywhere.
Sure, I'm willing. @paint house gang - you can email me at lorriezwer at gmail.com and we can set something up.
I spent three winters in Montreal. The best part was finding a cozy pub and spending a few (6?) hours sitting on a stool drinking beer and watching the snow come down.
The rest was crap. Frozen crap.
On the coldest days here in Toronto I wear long johns, my MBBs, a t-shirt, my IHSH-101, a Wings + Horns permaloft shacket, and a Patagonia 3 in 1.
Still not warm enough.
I don't know if she qualifies as a celebrity, but I had intimate relations with a Man Booker prize listed writer this summer.
Me and my MBBs are entered. I don't think they'll last 4 years, but we'll see. I've got 25oz patches in the crotch, so that should at least hold…
Sent my Oysterdate to this guy for service: http://www.archerwatches.ca/service.html
In April.
Email from him yesterday to let me know he's almost done, but for a new crystal and then 10 days of testing and adjustments.
When he's done, I get the watch and a massive PDF showing every step of his process.
Obsessive?
Woohoo!
Large for me, same as my 86.
You look so relaxed! I would be trembling up to the moment I fell in.
Hmm. I've been to Big Crow, but that's it. It was fine, but no Electric Mud.

What he said.
Found a Wings+Horns primaloft winter jacket yesterday on sale. Between this and that, I am going to be good for 75% of winter. Fingers crossed.
