@seminolepilot looks like a killer fit. Im same size and sooooo on fence with L/XL. Id like the layer room but the arms are sooooo un proportionally long sizing up. Almost 3 in longer than most jacket
. Curious how much of those chest and shoulder measurements gets eatin up by the lining as well
Im in the same boat.
6' 1", 176 lbs, 43.3" chest.
(184cm, 80kg and 110cm chest)I prefer a relaxed fit, so I'm leaning towards the XL, but I'm a bit worried about the sleeve length. So L is also tempting. If I go with the L, I’m ready to probably only wear it with a t-shirt.
-
@EastClintwood you’re similar in size to me, I went XL to layer. With this pattern it’s going to look good in either size IMHO.
-
@EastClintwood im gonna cop the xl , ive been burned twice on ih jackets being so slim before. I vigoursly read measurements to lol . Its gonna be tricky to with this sleeve style to get tailored if need be and u cant just roll them
-
@Brandrea alright its go time then xl it is

@caseyjonez awesome man! Excited for you!

@IrishHeart hey bud, I need to be in touch with you for sizing of all their tops
I just ordered this N1 in XXL and was not sure about the size (I'm also 6’4, but 230
), but after reading this I can breathe a bit more relaxed. I think ill be happy in XXL
-
@Brandrea That’s perfect! Much better than XXL
-
@Bane I hope this works for you. I’m up to 225lbs and the jacket is still perfect for me.
I bought the olive drab green version and I know measurements can vary slightly between the different colours and updated versions. I don’t know how these compare between the two.
Its well worth pursuing until you get a fit that your happy with because its a fantastic jacket.
Good luck
-
@IrishHeart I cannot wait to get it. It should be Monday. I’ll let you know how the sizing goes

Logged on after a long time away to say that I have this jacket and it's -20c today in Ontario and I'm still warm. Layered a Uniqlo heat tech long sleeve t and a merino cardigan, and I'm a-okay.
This jacket rules!

I picked up this jacket from a stockist right around the release date. The jacket has been fantastic and I have no complaints. GF mentioned this week that my jacket smells a bit sweaty. I don't recall if I got any care info when I bought it (can't find anything now) and don't see any tags inside on cleaning, so, any recommendations on the best way to clean the interior of this oiled N1?

@Zeplo1 Thanks for getting in touch, thats weird that there is no care label on the inside, however I have attached a photo for the care for the the IHM-37 but the Khaki version which will be the same care guide.
If the jacket is getting a bit smelly I would try turning inside out to start with and airing out the jacket, if this doesn't help my next steps would be the following.
Ironing with a one-dot setting typically means low heat, which is important for alpaca or wool-lined items not to get damaged. It is also imperative that you use a cotton cloth to help protect the garment from direct heat exposure, so I would turn the jacket inside out and using your cotton cloth as a thin barrier I would then lightly press the iron against the jacket, I wouldn't recommend gliding the iron over the jacket. Then let the jacket cool down flat to maintain its shape and avoid any distortions in the fabric.
The signs as well going from left to right mean:
1: do not wash
2: do not bleach
3: do not tumble dry
4:Max temp at 110 degree C or 230 degrees F
5: do not dry clean -
@JoshC Thank you very much, Josh. I will give these steps a go.
