I know easier ways of obtaining an ankle bracelet. comes with free GPS too.
I did a job one time supervising 14 Boilermakers. One of them was wearing an ankle bracelet and we had to run an extension cord into the hole so he could keep it charged.
@Giles sorry about your ruined plans.

Please be safe ️ and have a great time too.
Also the lastest news in the saga of woe and heartache with FedEx:
I had a package from Japan that was supposed to be 2 day like IHUK does. And yesterday I got the "delivery attempted" notification. But the package doesn't require a signature. So today, I get this:
My address is most certainly right. I called them and they said they would contact the driver and let them know that he must deliver it tomorrow morning.

I don't know if it's just my luck or if something is going on with USPS but I have currently 2 orders inbound that are stalling in tracking.
Both show up as 'Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered to its final destination. It is currently in transit to the next facility.' but they haven't moved since a couple of weeks (one is even aproaching a month)
I'm in Belgium and it seems the average parcel can take up to 30 days, but this is starting to feel like it might be lost in the mail. Anyone else in Europe notice heavy delays on the USPS front?
-
Sorry to hear that. There is some deliberate sabotage ongoing at USPS and we are experiencing the impact stateside too.

sabotage to cause delays or to lose parcels?
-
Yeah. I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole so I’ll leave it at this: USPS as a public entity has a lot of enemies. Crippling it and stoking broad dissatisfaction is a way of gathering political momentum to privatize it.

I shipped a GAH pendant to the UK back on the 5/30. I was contacted by the buyer a few days ago and I had assumed that it had already been delivered but there are no tracking updates since the 15th when it left US customs. Now, looking back at the tracking, it says that the estimated delivery is July 4th! I know that Brexit has complicated things but no way should it take >30 days from the US to the UK especially when shipping was $40 for something that weighs less than an ounce.
I'm still at a loss as to how @scarfmace's chore coat is still MIA. It's pretty discouraging and makes me hesitant to ship overseas if this is going to be the new normal.

This may have a bearing on the ongoing tale of the Mad Red @jordanscollected
-
@Clint_D March 12th the Mad Red was shipped to Germany. It sat in Chicago until it cleared customs on May 15th. We haven't heard a word since then.
The irony of how frustrated and mad I am about this delay will only add to the story of its travels once round 2 (fingers crossed) begins.

Happy to see that both my parcels finaly got an update yesterday and are both on their way overseas! Looks like they just got held back and where not lost afterall.
-
Generally speaking DPD are absolutely fantastic, the only problem for me is I sit about halfway around their route and tend to be the first delivery after their 1-hour lunch break. So I can just see them sat there, stuffing their face whilst I wait in great anticipation for my deliveries. It kills me
-
I've got you beat — my UPS guy lives right down the street from me, so I'm always the very last on his route. I get my packages around 7 or 8PM usually. Brutal waiting!
That said, I don't know why exactly I'm last on the route — it's not like he drives the truck home and parks it in front of his house. He has to take it back. Anyway, I guess just bad luck haha…
