W-3 thru W-16 - Brass Wallet Chains & Hooks

Saddest day
Have had this guy for nearly 3 years.
Any tips on how to fix?
-
Personally I would buy a new ring online and remake it. once a ring has been open and closed like that they tend to be weaker the second time around. When you open and close a ring like that make sure you do it side to side instead of top to bottom

Looks like it caught on something and the O ring opened up. Close it up again with some pliers…
It did! My car key got stuck when climbing a shelving unit at work. I didn't notice, so when I jumped down it forced the O ring open.
I’ll try and close it. I’m a little nervous it wont regain it’s circular shape and will instead be misshapen..
We’ll see. Thanks for the reply!

Skip the o ring and put the clip directly on the split ring.
This is such a great idea. I found some small, flat brass split rings on Etsy and will get one to link the hook back on.
Thanks so much for the reply!

Been using it for a couple of weeks and love it.
Only concern is that the leather tag that hangs on the ball chain has loosened from the clasp 3 times. I've tried to tighten the clasp to see if it helps.
Luckily I found the leather tag all times on the ground not long after it fell.

@rovdjurstorget Your wallet is a gorgeous colour with fantastic patina!!
-
@goosehd Thanks. I've had it for 9 years and was even featured on the Tanner Goods website some time ago.
The lower snap button really marks all of my back pockets with the tanner goods "stamp".

I know there was a restock in may but I’ll ask cause why not! Restock on the horizon?

So the sad day finally came and I've discovered too late that my leather tag has fallen off with its ball-chain.
Is there a way to replace it?
-
@rovdjurstorget so you've lost the leather tag, or just the chain that connects it to the keychain?
-
@Alex Both Both the ball chain and the leather tag.
It fell off a few times and I tightened it and it held for a while, before falling off for good this time.
-
@rovdjurstorget we won't have any spare tags in the UK, I am afraid. We can try and get home of a couple, but could take some time
-
@Alex That would be so appreciated. No hurry for me. Let me know what I can do, or when to check in on it again.
