IRON HEART WAYWT - 2024 EDITION
-
@AdamC should be a thread for best dressed.
-
There really are so many great shots here. So great to see various ways to wear all of this great clothing.
In all honesty, I came to this brand very late in life. I was searching for a new look so to speak. I was tired of the boring mall denim, chinos, sweater/shirts look. A “new look” wasn’t really as contrived as that, but you get my point … something age appropriate, slightly edgy, but I can also wear to work.
Somehow, I found a place called the Fedora Lounge as I was searching for a good leather jacket. Once there, the brand Iron Heart was mentioned … it’s been a rabbit hole ever since lol.
Love the ethos of the brand, the unique designs, and of course the quality, but beyond that, it fits me well. I tried so many Japanese brands, and I always had fit problems.
So glad I landed here!

@popvulture In the cold?----tell that to the boys in Buffalo
-
@dinobarnesberlin haha it's a constant battle in our house — she's from California and thinks 70 is cold. Meanwhile I barely ever wear my UHFs because they roast me.
-
@popvulture the battle is real--California native here as well.
Its taken almost 20 years of living in Berlin, to only recently getting used to the cold temps in the winter.
Still sucks that there are no Palms here -
@dinobarnesberlin you'd think I'd be that way as well, having lived in Mississippi and Texas most of my life, but frankly I think I've just been in scorching temperatures so much that I find anything cool to be beyond delightful. Although I will say when I lived in NY, I started turning into a real whiner once winter had dragged on for nearly 6 months. Everyone's got a limit, haha...
-
@popvulture 6 months---can only imagine
We all have our borders, and for me 3 months is about all I can take.
But then again, its like they say.." There is no bad weather...only bad clothes" -

@dinobarnesberlin @popvulture I grew up in the Middle East and I hate the heat here in the UK. I don't like severe cold, but I like to be cool enough that I don't sweat too much. People here in summer are always like "oh you must love the heat" and I say "no, I hate it, everywhere in the Middle East is air conditioned out the wazoo". In the UK air conditioning is a very rare luxury, so when it's hot, it's inescapable.
-
@EdH man I think you nailed it for me with the air conditioning comment. In TX and MS, keeping the thermostat icy cold is pretty much religion, so when I go to places that don't have central air, I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. Don't even get me started over my household's battles over the temp
