Fit check

Agreed that it's hard to tell with that lighting. Depends on how tight you like your jeans, too. My are-the-knees-too-tight test involves riding a bike. If you can ride a bike in them, they're not too tight.
I will have to try that bike test tomorrow. I can squat comfortably in them and have full range of motion. I only wore them for a few hours after pics were taken, but they seem a bit more relaxed. I will try to upload more in better lighting
-
You’re too far away / too small to really get an idea of how they fit.
-
@Rockett if you can squat in them without significant discomfort you’re probably fine, it’s just a matter of whether you’re happy with how they look…
-
Got this IHM-12 or 13 from eBay today and the more I look at it the more I’m
about it. What do you guys think?
It’s in my usual shirt size, a medium. It’s pretty fitted with just a tee. The pits are snug as is the case with many IH jackets…
Here it is over a lightweight TW denim western. It’s pretty tight and the sleeves are not very comfortable. I just don’t know if I’d wear it over just a T. For me jackets are for lonhsleeve shirt weather, not T weather…
-
@Matt if you feel the jacket is too tight with a shirt then you probably won’t be happy with it. If, however, you do decide you like to wear it with just a t underneath then I think it looks pretty good.
on an unrelated note: you left the cage open and your crocs escaped
-
Overall the fit is good with the shoulders, sleeves, and body on point. Material wise, I would like the nylon version (flight jacket-esque) more.
Tough call as they don’t pop up too often and may be one of those long waits. Have you looked at flight jackets at selfedge? Might give you what you’re looking for.
-
Looks a little snug but not silly. I’d say if it’s comfortable enough and it’d be too hard to find a large, then stick with it.

Hi Guys I just picked up this Y2 shirt from the The Shop Vancouver, it feels a little tight, TJ thinks it looks right, just wondered if I could get your opinions. Thank you
-
it looks snug in the front in the lower torso but then looks just right from the back.
shoulders and sleeves are also good, leather will mold to you a bit, but it's really on how it feels and how you're going to wear it.it looks rad to me but maybe on the snug side. Do the buttons pop open when you breathe, stretch, move, etc?
-
Looks amazing, but doesn't look comfortable at all. As said above, seems extremely tight around the middle!
I tend to air on the side of form over function, as I like a slimmer fit, but think I'd wanna size up on something as substantial as this.
Maybe spend the day around the house in it? If natural movement/contortions cause the snaps to pop, then it's probably too small.
-
@pechelman Yeah everywhere else feels good, like you say bit tight across chest, Im just wondering if it will stretch much
-
@T4920 It doesn't feel overly tight. From the photos do you think it appears to small for me? The buttons don't pop open when I move around. Its a steer hide, feels very light so im wondering if that will translate to it stretching
aaaah, its a tough decision. Thank you mate
-
@jiminstitches shit. The shoulders and sleeves look great but it seems like the design could have had more material in the front panels, and a bit less in the back. I have a similar much less noticeable issue with a winter coat of mine. It's tight-ish across the belly but has a ton of room in the back.
It looks decent on you, but you don't much variability to layer with it if desired
-
One thing to note is TJ certainly likes things on the slimmer end. I myself, I’d rather have room than be uncomfortable all day for the sake of fashion. I also find that things i buy too small, I never tend to wear. My vote is it looks too tight but only you know best with it on.
-
@jiminstitches it looks fantastic don't get me wrong, but I just know that a lack of comfort/practically would personally put me off reaching for this, which isn't ideal on such an expensive garment built to last a lifetime.
Shoulders and upper back do look perfect though, perhaps that area being more spacious is creating an illusion of tightness in the middle.. if it feels good, roll with it mate!
These shirts seem to hold their value well, so returning it and sizing up would probably end up costing you more after duty fees than selling it at a slight loss a few months down if the fit isn't working for you.
