What measurement is most important to pay attention to when ordering shirts? chest? waist opening?
-
@bluemantra As everyone’s physique is different, your question’s answer depends on what is important to you. It would be the same as me telling you what your favourite colour or food is and not knowing anything about you.
Edit: measure your favourite shirt the Ironheart way and compare those measurements to the products for a best fit comparison.
If in doubt email the crew at: shop@ironheart.co.uk for further advice.

Snatched one in my size L from German stockist

@bluemantra I wholly agree with @goosehd but if I can entertain your ask a bit, I would guess most here start with p2p. If you are swimming its a no go. if there is button pull and the pits end up snug its a no go. If that fits and the waist is snug, you can open the bottom button. if the sleeves are a bit long you can roll in multiple ways. Shoulder measurements are really important too as they affect sleeve length and overall fit/drape.
We are all shaped differently and you could zoom in on many photos on here and "pick apart" little measurements that could be improved. I wish my Wabash western was tad shorter in the body. I wish my 293 was a touch wider at the waist. But in both examples the chest measurement is perfect for me so the they are keepers.
In the end, measure as Dennis stated taking into account the heavyweight fabrics and enjoy your Iron Heart.

@jordanscollected When my father in law was a fit young man his chest would have been his measurement to consider. When he was older and on peritoneal dialysis, his waist would have been the most important.
Without me knowing what a person looks like, me telling them what their most important measurement is, is useless…

Can I see what the brass snaps look like on it?

Ordered! This might be one of my most anticipated IH releases in some time. Can't wait to get this in.

Was thinking I was going to squeak through S/S '24 with only the reversible tanker, but ultimately the call of this one was too great!

This was my plan, too. Reversible tanker and I am out. But they always seem to release one thing I didn't expect and love. Last season was the 8oz hickory worksheet. SS23 was the indigo whipcord type 3.

@JerkStore Great minds think alike, and act accordingly. Hopefully next time it will only be a t-shirt or keychain we can't live without...

Ordered. Can't wait to see this in person

Bought it! 4XL on the way

I realised the other day I have a PBJ Sashiko Type II that I've barely worn and was going to treat it like a new purchase for the summer. Now I want this. I feel like the distracted bf meme.
