Witheredfig.com has fit pics of both and I very much prefer the look and cut of the CPO over the work shirt.
-
@long_john86 Same for me too. I chose the 292 but eagerly look forward to the 389 photos here.
-
I caved in. Was watching the Large size and it went from +9 this morning, to 5, to 2.
-
got mine today went for xl instead of large, large was slightly smaller in the chest,I wanted to use this as a summer jacket so layering in the evening. has a nice weight to it like a jean jacket.
-
my summer light jacket sorted.

@Tago-Mago what size do you usually take? This is alarming as I’ve just ordered a size up to my usual one
-
Best bet with this shirt is probably to stick with your western shirt sizing (XL for me). Never steered me wrong. With the workshirt, after seeing the measurements from other retailers, I'd have to go to a XXL, which is really weird.
-
from the few CPO's I have (293, untucked, 305) I sized down on all of them from my western UHF shirt size based on the measurement charts except for one (331) which I ordered in the same size and unfortunately I almost never wear it b/c it's very roomy and cut to layer.
As noted above, I did the same size down on this one and can report back when it arrives. Trust the measurements. For CPO's I've been having to keep a closer eye on the waist/opening as that's what made the 331 look too roomy on me.
-
I think I should be ok then as all my westerns are XXL and I also wear the Untucked and 292 CPO’s in XXL without minding them being a little roomy, I do like to layer under them and use them as an overshirt. Hopefully the same with this 389.
What confused me with this one is the shoulder measurements for XXL are actually smaller than they are for all my XXL UHF’s and 9oz flannels.. I definitely didn’t want it to fit tighter than those.
-
Dang... was really waffling on whether the smaller shoulder on the size down would have been OK in order to get a more appropriate p2p, and ultimately went with my 'normal' Western UHF size (XL), thinking maybe worst case there will be some shrinkage?? Hoping it fits similar, but also... queasy feeling in stomach from others' feedback, lol.

@Matt Appreciate the positive vibes, good sir!
