@jiminstitches Tools Stockholm concert was very nice! Really liked the setlist. We got Schism in the middle and Stinkfist at the end.
@Matt yeah. Dinosaur Jr was annoyingly loud (great band otherwise). Ministry too, but that was way more expected

Speaking of Tool, I had a dream last night that they were performing in a shopping mall and interacting with the audience, and my wife and me in particular. I chatted up Maynard a bit and then walked around a water fountain to watch Danny play up close and chat with him a bit. They were very casual and would play songs and then we would chat a bit. No production, just them and their instruments, amps, etc scattered about the mall. I remember doing a double bass speed metal drum roll tap with my feet during one of mine and Danny’s conversations. I talked to Justin a bit too. I can’t explain why Adam wasn’t prominently in the dream because I love his playing and art.
Very surreal and the most unrealistic Tool scenario imaginable, but also a very fun dream.

@Nocturama Saw the video of Shane Hawkins playing with them and it made me really happy to see him playing with them. My hope is that at some point he gets good enough and strong enough to be their drummer. (Probably never happen)I feel ,that like style wise, he’s much more like Dave Grohl, kind of like how Zach Starkey is much more like Keith Moon than Ringo.
You could tell DG and JF have really taken him under their wing.
His performance was amazing, and he put everything into that one song - hitting the skins hard…but he looked absolutely shot by the end of it! -
@mclaincausey I love dreams. Like oddball movies to entertain us as we sleep.
My last one I was trying to climb up a slippery, narrow ladder on the side of a boat and I was absolutely terrified to fall into the tangle of metal and water below.
Your Tool dream sounds more fun.

My sister-in-law’s favorite musical act is ODESZA, an electronica duo who writes extremely emotive music and has wild live production, involving live instruments (including drum lines) and vocalists, original CGI, lights, and pyrotechnics that are cohesively integrated.
Saturday night they sold out the University of Colorado’s football stadium in Boulder for a final tour for their latest album, and it was the largest headlining show they’ve ever played, and even with a weather delay, a curfew, and 3 excellent openers act (Big Boi from Outkast included!!), the longest set they’ve ever played.
Really an amazing production and probably the best electronic show I’ve ever seen. I have a feeling the tour closer at the Gorge in Washington is going to also be truly special.

The Jesus and Mary Chain opened up their european tour in my hometown last night. It was phenomenal sold out show (around 2200 people). If you have a chance to see them, go see them, they are (still) great!
