@endo that Legendar looks pretty awesome.
yeah, pretty legen... wait for it...dary

@Mizmazzle Mine is stainless steel. And the regular size. Not long or short. I can’t remember what the exact name or size is.
Being SS, it’s a bit heavy, but kinda like with Iron Heart, once I got used to its heft, nothing was ever the same. I’d go titanium if I were to buy another one, personally.

Sorry for blowing this thread up.
Hidetoshi Nakayama w homemade sheath & IronHeart pull
Way too heavy and cumbersome to be much more than a desk pen but it’s definitely insanely fun to play with.

Ordered that rOtring 800, just arrived today. Already in love! Such a practical feature having it be able to retract, makes me wonder how I went so long with the 600 without getting this one. By the way, I did manage to bend the 600 tip back in place (mostly). This is my 2nd 600 (or maybe 3rd?), and have really only used this one for home office use. Excited to have one that I can feel comfortable using as an EDC now!
Here's a pic of them all side by side. The 3-in-1 doesn't look much larger in the pic, but weight-wise and size-wise wise it feels HUGE in the hand. Plus it doesn't have an eraser, which renders it useless as a practical pencil.

Just another place for y'all to shine, everyone!

@Anesthetist I think I need one of those color wheel rotring's in my collection. Is it just a pen, black/blue/red?
-
@chrisjohnnick it is just a little spinner so you remember what color cartridge you are using.

For years I used zebra M-301 pencils and Leuchtturm1917 books (A4+ size so I could put in printed sheets without them hanging out) with the pen holder sticker. After working with the director and artist Robert Wilson for a summer I started using a clipboard. I still have one of Wilson's paper mate sharpwriters. Current favourite pen is the pink one I got from my union. Mostly still use the zebra pencils to make notes in books I read for work.

@chrisjohnnick glad you are happy with the 800. I thought I had a second 800 at home to compare against the 600 but I was mistaken, I have a couple of 600s at home . Do you think the 600 and 800 are the same diameter now you have both?

Cool thread. Blackwing and field notes for me
-
@ddtrash measured the 600 and 800. The 600 is about 8mm thick and the 800 is about 8.4mm. Both feel about the same weight-wise. Love being able to carry it in my pocket now.

@sabergirl I've got that same one and like it too

Fun thread! I use my old Apple notebooks and the Scheaffer for more mental exploration and planning. The Uni-Ball Vision Elite, specifically in the Blue & Black ink, along with the small legal pad help me do my daily/weekly chores. Definitely on the cheap but effective side here. That pen is maybe 15-20 years old. I can’t even remember when I got it. Beat up and well traveled.
