@Pipeboss713 Love that with the chain!
-
that thick collar makes the shirt pop 200% more. damn i want this one
-
thanks for all sizing advice offered thus far. Specifically, would XXL lend itself to going over a button down collar shirt, or are the sleeves too narrow? thanks in advance for any help...
-
The sleeves are slim for sure, especially up at the wrist which are I believe are meant to be tight to keep out wind… I’d say this is much more of a base layer than an over layer. T-shirt underneath at most, imho. Feels really nice against the skin without though. Super comfy.

Are there plans to make the zip up sweater in this color ?
-
@Giles said in Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?:
Our medium/long-term goal is to offer all iterations of sweats (crew neck, pullover hoody, zippered pullover and stand-up collar) in all colours….
-
Great piece guys, love the trim/slim fit but still has some length.
-
@Giles hey thanks….but man that sweater though

I just picked up an XXL in black. I pretty much go 1 to 2 sizes up from my usual western sizes in everything IH, YMMV.
I’m 6’2” and 185.The fit is trim which I like. This one has higher armholes (at least they feel that way to me) compared to the zip sweaters. I can wear a tee under this without too much bunching. The arms are JUST long enough for my freakishly long arms lol. I like that the body is cut longer as well.
The fabric is what you’d expect, luxuriously tough
Great overall. I will get the olive when it’s back in stock.

Fit check here. What a sweater

@doubletee really nice. Great fit and that color is hard to beat. Perfect shade of olive green
-
@doubletee looks an absolutely perfect fit. Very nice indeed.

Was quite surprised by the amount of shrinkage from one wash! My XL is now a very small Large, coming in at 28 Length, 22 pit and the arms are even shorter than the Large. I’m going off the size chart as I didn’t measure mine before washing.
I was wearing undershirts with it and I guess even the small amount of deodorant that bled through bleached/stained the pits and a couple spots along the ribbing from putting it on. It didn’t need a wash but I guess I’ll have to be careful of deodorant sitting in the fabric, an expensive lesson.
I used oxiclean to soak it for about 12 hours, machine wash it twice to get all the soap out and a long medium temperature dry. The water was warm at the start of the soak and cold in the machine. I didn’t expect it to shrink so much being one washed 🥹. My stupid washer doesn’t spin very well so it was soaked and I was kinda forced to use the dryer. After all that it didn’t do anything to the stains and shrunk it a full size.
Let this be a learning lesson for anyone else debating on how to wash one of these!

Sorry for your pain @nrtphotos . Hopefully will be useful to you as a layering piece now. Most of my sweats and sweaters are big enough to be outerwear and I’ve kinda been craving some slimmer layering pieces.
Appreciate you sharing your experience to help the rest of us. That’s interesting given the hoodies run big and then don’t shrink much at all even with hot wash and hot dry. I have this crewneck too - it runs much smaller than hoodies to start with. I think mines only been washed once. Prob cold and then hang dry. Didn’t get much shrink, maybe some length and lil tighter in chest. Was stiff as a board for maybe 10 wears after drying haha. Just now getting cozy again. I’ll try to remember to be careful with the washing.

@68degreesorless yeah, I’m sure the 13 hour soak and prolonged medium temperature dry probably contributed, just sucked to find out lol.
